Five years after the release of my first recording, "I Am Still Alive," I am please to share "Still Life," my final recording of 2020.
Starting with a processed-via-modular-synthesizer sampling of "I Am Still Alive," and then embracing the signature "fade in, fade out, cross-fade" technique of Éliane Radigue's brilliant ARP 2500 synthesizer compositions, I assembled several live recordings containing variations on a theme / variations on a patch and slowly faded and cross-faded between them. This was a new way of working for me, and something I plan to explore more in the future as I attempt to create longer and more complex compositions.
